Philly punk faves Cayetana released a kickass record this year called New Kind of Normal, and they’re currently out on the road opening for Waxahatchee in support of it. When that run of dates is done, the band just announced a fall headlining run, bringing Philly’s Hemming along for the ride.

The two projects are longtime friends; you can hear Hemming leader Candice Martello in the chorus of shouting voices on Cayetana’s “Grumpy’s” (a feat reprised at the New Kind of Normal release show, seen in the photo above) and members of Cayetana appeared in Hemming’s “Some of My Friends” video (which you can watch below) and also worked on Martello’s Shaking Through Session a couple years back.

The tour kicks off at Philly Music Fest at World Cafe Live on September 22nd, and climbs up through New England, across Canada and down the Midwest, ending in Baltimore on October 8th. Check out the full schedule below, and get more information on Philly Music Fest at the XPN concert calendar.
