It’s been too long, The Wonder Years. The Philadelphia pop-punk band last performed in Philadelphia at the Fillmore for a sold out hometown show in November, and today they have announced the date of their triumphant return. In a nice twist, the six-piece will not be moving up to a larger venue but rather will be playing a stripped-down acoustic set at the Theatre of Living Arts on October 6th as part of a quick run of intimate dates to accompany the acoustic EP Burst and Decay.

But that’s not all, folks. In a series of Twitter updates the group also let it be known that this tour is so small because they are also working on a new record at the same time.

The Wonder Years will be joined on tour by Laura Stevenson, The Obsessives and Jetty Bones. Ticket sales go live at 10am EST on Friday, August 4th. Click here to see the full list of dates, and listen to the newly released stripped down version “There, There” from the 2013 record The Greatest Generation.
