West Philly singer songwriter Umer Piracha brings his medatative instrumental ensemble Falsa to Franky Bradley’s. Drawing on 14th century Sufi classical music, the band creates a space of warmth and intimacy, whether performing in living rooms or nightclubs — as it will tonight, opening for  West Philadelphia Orchestra.

TIckets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Rootsy California rocker Jade Jackson has been on tour with punk icons Social Distortion in support of her debut record Gilded. After playing Free at Noon last Friday and a Fillmore Philly gig on top of it, Jackson returns to the region tonight to play the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg with Social D. Tickets and more information can be found here; listen to the album’s title track below.

Two-tone ska icons The Selecter come to South Philly tonight to play Boot and Saddle alongside locals The Dull Blue Lights (the new incarnation of The Snails). More information on the show can be found here; watch a 1979 performance of “On My Radio” below.
