Philly trio Cranes are Flying mixes up pop-punk and post-rock with a dose of anthemic modern rock on its latest EP, Code Switching, out today. The band has been on the scene since 2009 and celebrates its new record tonight at Johnny Brenda’s with Boy Lawyer, Glenn Matthews and Flat Mary Road. Tickets and more information on the show can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar; listen to the new EP below.

Philly’s lizdelise teased their latest collection of songs this spring with the dreamy and jagged rock single “Tell Me”; tonight, they’re at Ortlieb’s in Northern Liberties. Tickets and more information on the show can be found here.

I love that emerging rapper Amir Obè claims his hometown as Detrooklyn; I also dig None of the Clocks Work, a EP-length collection of bass’d out bangers released this spring via Def Jam Records. Tonight Amir headlines the Balcony at The Trocadero; find tickets and info on the show here and take a listen to Clocks below.
