Earlier this summer, DJ King Britt rocked some serious roller skate jams during his opening weekend set at Spruce Street Harbor Park — so it’s only fitting that he DJs another engagement tonight a half mile or so north, at the Blue Cross RiverRink, where people will literally be able to roller skate to jams from Michael Jackson and Soul II Soul. Details on the free event can be found here.

On the banks of the Schuylkill just off West River Drive, Lansdowne-bred psychedelic guitarist Steve Gunn performs a free show tonight for the Parks on Tap series. His latest record, Eyes on the Lines, was released last year to critical acclaim. Watch the video for “Ancient Jules” below and get more information on the show here.

The Philadelphia Folk Festival wraps up tonight with a performance by the always entertaining Taj Mahal, who has been pushing the envelope of what blues guitar can sound like for almost five decades. Listen to his 1968 debut below and get more information on the festival here.
