Christian Scott brings his innovative take on jazz at the intersection of popular music to World Cafe Live tonight. The New Orleans trumpeter recently released Diaspora, the second in a trilogy of albums all released in 2017. Check out XPN’s interview with Christian Scott about the new releases here, listen to the record below, and find tickets at the XPN Concert Calendar.

She needs no introduction, but we’ll give her one anyways. Pop superstar Lady Gaga will perform at the Wells Fargo Center as she brings her newest incarnation Joanne to life. If you can’t make it tonight, you have one more chance to see her on Monday – Lady Gaga’s last stop in the US before she hits the European circuit for a few months. Major-league rap/metal fusion outfit Prophets of Rage comes to Theatre of Living Arts tonight as part of their Make America Rage Again tour. Though experience spans decades — and members of Public Enemy, Cypress Hill and Rage Against the Machine — the group was formed in 2016 as their way to respond to the insanity that accompanied the election. Prophets of Rage will release their self-titled debut LP September 15th on Fantasy. For more information, check out the XPN Concert Calendar.
