Conjunto Philadelphia is a group dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich musical history of Cuba. They’ve brought their pre-revolutionary-era Cuban tunes to countless regional venues and events over the years, and they’ll be at Ardmore Music Hall tonight for a headlining show. They’re joined by Brazilian-inspired group Ensemble Novo. Watch a video of the band’s performance at the Philadelphia Museum of Art below, and find tickets and more information on tonight’s 21+ show on the XPN Concert Calendar.

If you missed Chris Forsyth & the Solar Motel Band‘s Free at Noon concert earlier this month, worry not — the Philly guitarist is bringing the whole crew back together for a show at Kung Fu Necktie tonight. The performance follows last month’s release of Forsyth’s latest LP Dreaming in the Non-Dream; the acclaimed release is grounded in the artist’s anxieties surrounding last year’s election. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar. Forsyth and band will also be back in November for an opening slot at the Luna show at Union Transfer on the 16th. Watch the band’s NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert below.
