Eastern State Penitentiary would be a powerful backdrop for a concert any day, but tonight’s show has a special reason for being there. It’s Justice Fest LIVE!, a concert in support of criminal justice reform — hence the historic prison yard setting — and Philly rockers Long Hots are one of the featured performers. The event will also include several guest speakers, including D.A. candidate Larry Krasner, plus more entertainment from DJ Cosmo Baker and a Songs from the Inside performance (music composed at Graterford prison). Revolution Taco and Foolish Waffle will provide the food, Yards will provide the beer. Find tickets and more information on JusticeFest here. Watch a video of Long Hots’ recent Boot & Saddle performance below.

Dirty Dollhouse, the retro folk-pop project of Philadelphia’s Chelsea Mitchell, released its debut LP Vinyl Child this past spring, and after a few months of touring behind the album, they return home to play The Key’s Philly Music Showcase tonight at MilkBoy. Vinyl Child marks a departure from the artist’s earlier, folksier work, taking on a genre-bending experimental tone that is sure to sound pretty cool live. Singer/songwriter Joshua Chase Miller and dream rockers Lizdelise also perform. Listen to Dirty Dollhouse’s “You Don’t Even Know Me” below, and find tickets and more information about tonight’s show on the XPN Concert Calendar.

Local indie rock faves Caracara celebrate the release of their new LP Summer Megalith tonight with a show at Everybody Hits. The Home Outgrown production has also lined up worlds greatest dad, so totally, and Sixteen Jackies to fill the batting cages with some of the best sounds in DIY. Caracara’s long-awaited debut album gives us a full-length collection of songs to enjoy from one of Philly’s most exciting bands of the moment. Listen to Summer Megalith here, find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar, and watch the Caracara’s video for “Glacier” below.
