With the the world being the world it is right now, it’s nice and fine to take a breather for a sec. But you know what’s also nice? Raging in anger to Philly hardcore rockers, HOUND’s new track, “Aqualamb,” thats what.
The new song blazes in heavy, charged resistance as a blatant middle finger to you-know-who. Offering more insight, frontman Perry Shall states:
“‘Aqualamb’ is an open letter to the man in the White House (who shall not be named). It is written from the perspective of all the people whose lives he is trying to destroy. The chorus is an homage to the Harry Nilsson song ‘Jump Into the Fire’ and in our version, I’m saying no matter what he tries to do to knock down the people who oppose him, they will rise above it because he will always be less than.”
“Aqualamb” will be featured on their upcoming third album BORN UNDER 76, which is set for an October 20th release date via Let’s Pretend Records. Catch HOUND’s record release show at Space 1026 on October 20th, with support from Dialer and also a bit of stand-up comedy. Find more info on the event over at the XPN Concert Calendar.
