West Philly punk rock duo PINKWASH are making some of the loudest, most rage-worthy tunes in the city right now, and they’ll bring their energetic and heavy sound to Everybody Hits tonight for a show with WAND, who are touring support of their recently-released new album Plum, and Darto. PINKWASH’s last release was their debut LP Collective Sigh in 2016, and they recorded a Key Studio Session earlier this year, which you can listen to below. Since guitarist / vocalist Joey Doubek has been busy on tour drumming for Downtown Boys and drummer Ashley Arnwine has been doing the same with Waxahatchee, getting the two bandmates in the same place at once has been rare this year — so don’t miss it. Find more information on tonight’s show here.

Cherry celebrate the release of their new record Dumbness tonight at Boot & Saddle. The atmospheric synth-rock group is led by former Kite Party members Russell Edling and Justin Fox, and the band’s debut full-length juggles heavy themes of maturity and human existence in a laid back rock ‘n roll way. Yankee Bluff and Clasp open tonight’s show. Read The Key’s review of Dumbness here, listen to the album below, and find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.

Prolific singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bryant Eugene Vazquez plays a hometown show at Johnny Brenda’s tonight following his latest LP Grey Expectations. Vazquez explores a range of styles and inspirations in his music, and takes the term DIY to heart, self-recording and playing all the instruments on his albums. Man Like Machine and Thom McCarthy open the show. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
