San Francisco indie rockers Deerhoof have been around for over 20 years now, but their vibrant energy and knack for conveying astute political haven’t slowed a bit — the four-piece recently released their 14th full-length Mountain Moves via Bandcamp and donated all of the proceeds to the resistance organization Emergent Fund. Empath and Haldol also play the Underground Arts show. Listen to Mountain Moves below, and find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.

Local rapper on the rise PnB Rock heads to Lancaster tonight for a show at Chameleon Club. It’s a stacked bill with Nakuu, Krazymoe, Rico Morel and Pedro Pe$o$ also playing. PnB released GTTM: Goin Thru the Motions earlier this year; watch the video for “Heart Racin” below. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.

Singer and multi-instrumentalist Sam Amidon plays World Cafe Live tonight in support of his recent album The Following Mountain. The Dupont Brothers also perform. Amidon is known for his rhythmic experimental folk that comes across raw, intimate and personal in a live setting. Amidon taped a World Cafe session a few years back; watch “Walkin’ Boss” below and find tickets and more information on tonight’s show on the XPN Concert Calendar.
