During Low Cut Connie’s recent NYC show at Irving Plaza, the charismatic rock ‘n rollers paid tribute to the late great, Tom Petty, by covering “Learning to Fly.” Trading Petty’s bouncy acoustic strums, front man Adam Weiner spun Connie’s characteristic piano flair to the iconic tune.

Watch the live performance of Low Cut Connie’s cover of “Learning to Fly” below. Then, catch Low Cut Connie at The Ardmore Music Hall with a smattering of other local artists for a stacked tribute show on October 29th. Dubbed “Philly Loves Petty,” the night will feature the likes of Travel Lanes, Ross Bellenoit, No Good Sister, and whole bunch more. Also, to spread even more love, half of the ticket proceeds from the night will benefit Puerto Rican relief funds.
