Sorority Noise have more perfect timing than we could’ve asked for. Just as we were gearing up for their show at the TLA on the 27th, the emo/punk scene faves announced a new two-track 7″, Alone, out now on Triple Crown Records. Their tour with Citizen and Great Grandpa kicks off next week, and the new tunes are perfect for helping fill in that waiting period.

“Week 51” and “Fermata” are both achingly quiet and contemplative, conjuring a sense of loneliness reflective of the EP’s title. The two songs were reportedly cut from Sorority Noise’s recent LP You’re Not As ______ As You Think, and serve as as way of filling in that blank in the album title. Alone is a welcome surprise for sure, and a fitting companion to the record.
