Hope Sandoval and her band The Warm Inventions bring the soft and dreamy sounds of their new Son of a Lady EP to the TLA tonight. Former Mazzy Star frontwoman Sandoval’s career has spanned almost three decades, and as a solo artist she’s known for enigmatic live performances that match the eerie beauty of her songs. Tickets and more information can be found on the XPN Concert Calendar. Listen to “Let Me Get There,” featuring Philly’s own Kurt Vile, below.

Introspective folk artist Angelo De Augustine makes an appearance at World Cafe Live Upstairs tonight, bringing with him the intricate and hushed sounds of his recent LP Swim Inside the Moon. The songwriter self-released his first album before signing to Sufjan Stevens’ Asthmatic Kitty Records. Philly-based band Friendship will also perform. Find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar, and listen to “Fade” below.
