Come by Johnny Brenda’s tonight for a live music & spoken word event titled The Healing. Featuring an abundance of artists, from Chill Moody, Killiam Shakespeare, Jacqueline Constance, and a ton more, it’s going to be a great night of tunes. And it’s for a great cause, as proceeds from the night will benefit families in the Caribbean for hurricane relief aid. Find more info on the show over at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Over in Kensington, New York instrumental collective Sunwatchers will be bringing the psychedelic fusion to Jerry’s On Front. Ranging in influences from free-form jazz to krautrock (aka German experimental rock) these fellas create an immersive, genre-blurring experience. Lend your ears to the band’s Key Studio Session below, and then catch more info on the gig here.

Post punk Philadelphians Crash Course in Science kicked normal instruments to the curb back in the early 80s and decided for some kitchen appliances and toy gear instead. Read up on their latest album Situational Awareness here, and see them at Underground Arts tonight. Find more info on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar, and listen to “It Cost’s To Be Austere” below.
