Singer-songwriter Eleanor Friedberger makes a solo stop at Johnny Brenda’s tonight, on the road sans band after releasing her latest album New View last year. Local solo artist Jesse Hale Moore opens, so it’ll be a night full of raw and stripped-down tunes. Read The Key’s interview with Friedberger here, watch the video for “He Didn’t Mention His Mother” below, and find tickets and more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.

Philly locals Control Top bring their spirited punk sound to The Galleries at Moore tonight; also on the bill are Ellen Siberian Tiger, Clasp, and The Bachelorettes. Control Top released their first EP S/T last year — listen below. They have a few more shows coming up this year, and will make an appearance at Get Better Fest in the spring. Find more information on tonight’s show here.

Local hip-hop/punk outfit Ronnie Vega recently released The Lost Vega Vol. 1, and now they’ll bring the new tunes to West Philly’s LAVA Space for a stacked show that also includes Vacation, Todd Killingz, and Cult Objects, plus visual art by Deyzi. Ronnie Vega has a new, Philly-filmed video out for “Therapy” — watch below, and find more information on tonight’s show here.
