The holidays are upon us, and here at WXPN, we’ll bring you musical reflections on the season between now and January 1st. Here’s a rundown of what you’ll hear on the air.

Monday, November 20 – Sunday, December 31: Jingle Jams on XPN2
Host Robert Drake curates this genre-spanning, non-stop stream featuring the season’s finest holiday songs from throughout the decades.

Thursday, November 23: Sleepy Hollow Thanksgiving (6 a.m. to Noon)
Sleepy Hollow host Chuck Elliott plays warm, relaxing songs that provide the tasty accompaniment to your feasting and festivities. At Noon, host Helen Leicht presents WXPN’s annual broadcast of the classic Thanksgiving song “Alice’s Restaurant” by Arlo Guthrie.

Tuesday, December 19: 9th Annual XPN Local Home for the Holidays Show (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.)
This year, host Helen Leicht’s annual gathering of local talent celebrating the sounds of the season features WXPN Musicians On Call volunteer musicians David Falcone, Lisa Bouchelle, Andrea Nardello, Skip Denenberg, Aaron Parnell Brown, and Ross Bellenoit performing traditional holiday songs (recorded at Morningstar Studios).

Friday, December 22nd: Free at Noon Christmas with Slowey and the Boats (12 p.m.)
Philadelphia’s Hawaiian-inspired steel guitar band Slowey and the Boats will say “Mele Kalikimaka” to you in this festive Friday performance, and the final Free at Noon of 2017. RSVP for the concert here.

Sunday, December 24: The Night Before on XPN – 25th Anniversary! 25 hours long!
Host Robert Drake performs his annual Christmas miracle by playing his eclectic mix of holiday songs non-stop for 24 hours, leading right up to Christmas. And because it’s his 25th year – he’ll add an hour! Follow along on Facebook, peek into the festively-festooned studio using the Jingle Cam, and join many others who can’t make it to Christmas Day without Robert and The Night Before on XPN.

Monday, December 25:
Merry Fringemas (1 a.m. to 4 a.m.)
Hosts Robert Drake and Eric Schuman produce a three-hour trip of holiday musical oddities: songs, snippets and stories from the The Night Before cutting room floor.
Echoes Winter Holiday Show (4 a.m. to 6 a.m.)
Host John Diliberto’s special holiday soundscape for the chillout hours.
Sleepy Hollow Christmas (6 a.m. to Noon)
Host Chuck Elliot’s annual selection of mellow holiday music.

Tuesday, December 26 – Friday, December 29: The Best of World Cafe Interviews & Performances from 2017 (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.)

Saturday, December 30: In Memoriam: A Tribute to the Musicians We Lost in 2017 (2 p.m. to 5 p.m.)

Sunday, December 31:
Top 50 Songs of the Year Countdown (1 p.m. – 5 p.m.)
The 15th (or 16th) Rockin’ New Year’s Eve (8 p.m. to 1 a.m.)
Host Bruce Warren again ushers in the new year, XPN-style. Whether it’s for a mega bash or a party for one, Bruce brings on the musical spirit of the new year.
