“Always go a little further into the water than you feel you’re capable of being in. And when you don’t feel that your feet are quite touching the bottom, you’re just about at the right place to do something exciting.” -David Bowie

This coming January 10th will mark the second anniversary of the passing of David Bowie. Two days prior, on Jan. 8th, on what would have been the icon’s 71st birthday, HBO will debut it’s documentary David Bowie: The Last Five Years.

The just-released trailer for HBO’s David Bowie: The Last Five Years, teases the making of Blackstar, Bowie’s 25th and final studio album, and also looks ahead at the making of The Next Day, along with the musical Lazarus. Documented in the trailer are discussions about David Bowie’s remarkable pursuit of creativity in making art despite being diagnosed with cancer.
