Singer and songwriter Aleana checks in with the good folks at Pecola Breedlove and The Freedom Party tonight at APoetArtGallery on West Girard Avenue. After releasing her XXI EP a couple years back, Aleana re-emerged this past year with an alluring single called “S.O.S.,” as well as gigs singing backup in Mars Parker’s band and opening for Hardwork Movement at Underground Arts. Get tickets and more information on tonight’s apperance at Breedlove Poetry Night here.

While we’re still waiting for either the followup to last year’s Relatable Web Content LP or their podcast idea from this year, we’re happy to see Philly punk duo Coping Skills filling their calendar with local gigs and tour dates. Tonight they’re at West Philly’s Lava Space with Florida’s Pool Kids and Philly’s Soft Idiot. Get more information on the show here, and watch “Drop Out Of College” below.

Philly trumpeter Vince Tampio celebrates the release of his latest album, Sound Plan, tonight at World Cafe Live upstairs. The record finds Tampio, who also plays with You Do You and York Street Hustle, to further expand his sonic palette into the zone of psychedelic rock and electronic dance. Listen to the record below and get details on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.
