Hold whatever you’re doing, friends, because there is one mighty fine gig coming up that you must know about. Taking place at Everybody Hits on February 15th, this beautiful bill boasts Kississippi, Field Medic, and Harmony Woods. So yes, just go and knock my hat off, why don’tcha.

Local royalty shines from the lineup with headliner  Zoe Reynolds’ scene fixture project Kississippi, who has been getting a lot of national attention for her recently-dropped new single “Cut Yr Teeth” with SideOneDummy Records, along with announcing that a full album is coming this April. Fellow Philly gem Sofia Verbilla’s Harmony Woods will also round out the bill, who’ll likely still be beaming with a glow of year-end-review accolades.

Stacked in between this Philly music sandwich is Kevin Sullivan’s project, Field Medic, who hails from San Francisco. If new to his tunes as I recently was, Field Medic’s sound swirls together quirkily blunt DIY strangeness with pure, rootsy folk for a best of both worlds situation that Sullivan accurately self-describes as “freak-folk.”
