Mavis Staples was the musical guest on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! for Martin Luther King Day. Watch the legendary singer perform an emotional live version of “Build a Bridge.”

Mavis Staples will be performing at this year’s Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival following the release of her latest album If All I Was Was Black, which was written and produced by Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy.

A special concert & event featuring a “video likeness” of Prince is being planned for April 21st in Minneapolis. The show, featuring Prince’s video likeness, will appear onstage April 21st with a live band at the Target Center. “Prince: Live on the Big Screen” will include “remastered and never-before-released” audio & video. According to Prince’s estate, a number of musicians who Prince worked with over the years, and some other ”very special guests,” will contribute to the show, which will happen during a four-day event honoring the memory of Prince. Tickets will be available starting January 20th at 10 a.m. through the Target Center website.
