Swedish folksinger Kristian Matsson, aka The Tallest Man on Earth, has returned with an ambitious new project: a five-part series called When the Bird Sees Solid Ground. The project will consist of a new song and music video each month through summer 2018. The music videos are DIY’d organically by Matsson himself.

The first track from the project, “An Ocean,” features gorgeous, rich electric guitar and Matsson’s simplistic, folk-tinged vocals. The music video showcases animals in Matsson’s backyard, landscape shots of trees covered in snow, an Matsson himself in his living room, explaining his inspiration for the song and having an intimate moment performing for the camera.

The Tallest Man on Earth will be going on tour in fall with a stop at Union Transfer on November 10th. More information on that show can be found here. Check out the music video for “An Ocean” down below.
