Just Announced: Beck will play Festival Pier in July

Longtime fans and followers of Beck know that the L.A. oddball tends to frequently mix in mellow, mediative and melancholy records in with his party rockers. So while his critically lauded 2014 album Morning Phase was another installment of the Sea Change MutationsOne Foot In The Grave sort of chapters in his discography, he is firmly back in dancefloor mode on last year’s effervescent and very fun Colors.

His tour in support of the record extends into this summer, with a just announced run of dates bringing him back to Philadelphia for a July 20th appearance at Festival Pier at Penn’s Landing. Glass Animals open the show; tickets are on sale next Friday, March 23rd, at 10 a.m. More information (hah) can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Below, dig into a new Oliver remix of Colors‘ contagiously catchy lead single “Up All Night.”
