They have more money than they know what to do with but both ABBA and The Rolling Stones are staying relevant with some new releases…and for ABBA it’s their first new music in 30 years!
ABBA has gotten the band back together again for two, new songs- 35 years after releasing the farewell single “Thank You for the Music.” All four original members of ABBA — Agnetha Fältskog, Björn Ulvaeus Benny Andersson & Anni-Frid Lyngstad — have announced that they have recorded two new tunes, one of them called “I Still Have Faith in You,” is set to debut in December as part of ABBA’s new digital experience.
“The decision to go ahead with the exciting ABBA avatar tour project had an unexpected consequence. We all four felt that, after some 35 years, it could be fun to join forces again and go into the recording studio. So we did. And it was like time had stood still and that we only had been away on a short holiday. An extremely joyful experience!”
Digital-avatar versions of the band-members will perform the new song on NBC and the BBC in December, and ABBA’s tour as digital avatars will start in 2019. After ABBA broke up in the late 90’s it took more than 30 years before they reunited on a stage together two years ago at a private party.
