Hardwork Movement stays true to their name, both as a group and in its members’ side projects. Since the collective’s full-band debut EP dropped in September 2017, HWM delivered a dazzling Free at Noon set, took Austin by storm for SXSW, and released a host of solo material – from trumpeter Becca Graham’s Honeychile project to MC Sterling Duns collaboration with Philly instrumentalist Aqeel Aadam.

Just this week, MC RB Ricks released his latest remix, this time spitting over Post Malone’s 2015 track “Too Young.” Ricks has a great ear for selecting backing tracks, previously rapping over Drake’s “4pm in Calabasas” and “Charged Up”, the latter track alongside HWM counterpart Sterling Duns, as well as Jaden Smith’s 2017 banger “Icon.”

The vibe Atlanta-based producer FKi casts on “Too Young” allows Ricks to show off his vocal capabilities. From crooning on the first verse to goin’ in on the second, both verses fit the slightly-melancholic, downtempo mood.

Stream “Too Young” and more of Ricks’ remixes below via Soundcloud. Head over to XPN’s Concert Calendar to find more info and buy tix to Hardwork Movement’s World Cafe Live show this Saturday, May 5, a benefit for Beyond The Bars.
