Canadian indie-poppers Alvvays are set to return to Union Transfer on September 29th. The show will mark the band’s third appearance at the Spring Garden venue in four years, with their most recent outing this past October touring behind 2017 sophomore release Anitsocialites.
The band’s indie-pop/shoegaze/jangle pop sounds are always (pun intended) a summer staple, from the band’s bright 2014 self-titled debut to last year’s effervescent follow-up. Rising contemporary Hatchie rounds out the bill, making the September show a perfect post-summer indie-pop evening.
At the moment, the tour only consists of 5 cities with stops in Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Boston, Toronto, and Brooklyn. As the band said on their website, “presale tomo tickos fri 10a pw: antisocialites,” aka presale tickets are available Wednesday June 6th (with password “antisocialites”) and all tickets available Friday June 8th. Check out the tour flyer below for the full set of dates, and view a sample of the band’s tracks below the poster.
