It’s been four years since Swedish indie pop icon Lykke Li‘s last album, and since we last saw her in Philly. But the wait for new music is over, and along with the release of her new LP so sad so sexy, out today, comes news that the songwriter will return our way to headline Union Transfer on October 8.

The new album has been a long time in the making for Lykke Li — and she recently wrote on her Facebook page:

“I can’t believe it’s here, the blood, the sweat, the tears, the high hopes, the fears, the time, the years, the detours, the pit falls, the self-doubt, the long nights, the insights, the wave, the fight to stay brave. Tonight, baby, woman and all, I’m giving you all I got, my heart, my soul, my dreams, my songs, my tears, my tears, my tears, my tears. From me to you.”

Stream so sad so sexy below and watch Lykke Li’s recent performance of “deep end” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert here. Tickets go on sale Friday, June 15 at 10 a.m. Find more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
