Last Friday night at 3rd and Lindsley, the Nashville music community was out in full force to celebrate the release of singer-songwriter Lera Lynn‘s excellent new collection of duets, Plays Well With Others.

The new collection of songs features collaborations with Dylan LeBlanc, Peter Bradley Adams, JD McPherson, Rodney Crowell, Andrew Combs, Shovels & Rope, Nicole Atkins, and John Paul White. All of Lynn’s collaborators – except for McPherson and Shovels & Rope – were on hand for the evening, in front of an enthusiastic sold-out crowd.

The show, broadcast on WMOT Roots Radio and webcast on VuHaus, was a reflection of the amazing sense of musical community the Nashville music scene has. Lera led a four-piece band through many of the album’s songs, as well as each duet partner performing a song of their own choosing. It was a magical night of performances, led by Lynn’s commanding presence on stage and with her collaborators.
