Calling her the “greatest singer who ever lived,” Chris Stapleton paid tribute to the late, great Aretha Franklin Saturday night at the Forum in Los Angeles, performing a cover of the Queen of Soul’s “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man.”
Aretha Franklin died last Thursday, August 16th at the age of 76 of pancreatic cancer. A public viewing and funeral will be held for her next week in her hometown of Detroit. Public viewings will take place Aug. 28 and 29 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, and a private funeral for family and close friends will be held next Friday, August 31st at the Greater Grace Temple.
