Tuesday 10/16: Blushed at The Barbary

Philly fuzzrock four-piece Blushed has made a splash around the scene since emerging two years ago with a home recorded demo that recalls DIY popsters like Chastity Belt and Vivian Girls; their latest, an incredibly catchy single called “Weak,” made its debut this spring, and can be found on a split single with fellow locals Secret Nudist Friends. Tuesday 10/16: Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears at Ardmore Music Hall

Austin blues-rock powerhouse Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears have been going strong since emerging over ten years ago, and released its sixth album,The Difference Between Me & You, last month. On it, we hear Lewis and his bandmates continuing to push the boundaries of their sound, incorporating country twang and rockabilly rhythms, with Lewis’ vocals and playing remaining in the center of the picture. Wednesday 10/17: Lisa Stansfield at The Keswick Theatre

Singer-songwriter Lisa Stansfield emerged from the UK’s northern soul scene in the late 80s with the infectious, unstoppable hit “All Around The World” from her debut record Affection. In the years since, she’s released a total of eight albums and starred in eight films, and Wednesday night will headline the Keswick Theater in support of her latest work, Deeper. It’s a set of disco-fied, Nile Rodgers via Daft Punk flavored dance pop, and you can dig into the title track below. // 8 p.m., $29.50-$45, AA // TIX + INFO – J.V.

Wednesday 10/17: Junglepussy at The Foundry

Brooklyn rapper Junglepussy brings her pop-forward latest LP JP3 to Philly tonight, headlining the Foundry at The Fillmore Philadelphia. The ten-track set features earworm melodies, tough-as-nails bars, and collabs with Rico Love, Gangsta Boo, Wiki, and QUIÑ. // 8 p.m., $18, AA // TIX + INFO – J.V.
