Grace Vonderkuhn gets all infomercial in the new “Cellophane” video
In her new video for “Cellophane ” Grace Vonderkuhn transforms her retro, psychedelic rock into visual form. The fuzzy, five-minute track, off her new album Reveries, comes to life almost literally as Vonderkuhn demonstrates the uses for cling wrap, infomercial-style. Backed by her band and full of her signature use of bright, flashy colors plus a staticky sheen, Vonderkuhn’s dreamy world takes form and invites us to join in on the fun.
The Wilmington-based Vonderkuhn released Reveries, her first full-length album, in February and recorded a Key Studio Session early this year, playing several new tracks including “Cellophane.” She doesn’t have any upcoming tour dates, but keep an eye on her Facebook page for local shows.
