Back on inauguration day in 2017, members of Cayetana and Hemming organized a massive, 37-band covers compilation featuring contributions from Abi Reimold, Three Man Cannon, Laura Stevenson, The Menzingers and more. Titled Don’t Stop Now, the release raised money for the American Civil Liberties Union. “This compilation is an expression of love, anger, hope and protest on inauguration day,” the organizers wrote at the time. “Let it serve as a reminder that the fight for justice is not over, that the celebration of diversity is essential to progress, that we must work together for what is fair and good.”

With the mid-term elections happening tomorrow, Tuesday the 6th of November, the organizers have released a follow-up compilation. Don’t Stop Now 2 features Soul Glo covering Three 6 Mafia’s “Pressure’s On My Knob,” Hemming covering “Black Hole Sun” by Soundgarden, Lydia Loveless covering Sarah McLachlan’s “Do What You Have To Do,” Tom May from The Menzingers doing “Sansom” by Regina Spektor, a version of Beastie Boys’ understated “I Don’t Know” by Mimi Gallagher from Eight, and much more.

There are 32 songs in total, and the beneficiary this year is RAICES (Refugee & Immigrant Center for Education & Legal Services), which provides legal assistance to immigrant children, families and refugees in Texas.
