The New Year’s Eve gigs are starting to roll onto the concert calendar, and the newly announced one is sure to be a wild one. Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties, the storytelling project of singer-songwriter Dan Cambpell (who you might also know from his acclaimed punk band The Wonder Years) will headline Boot and Saddle to ring in 2019, with Boston indie rock four-piece Future Teens opening the show. Tickets come with a signed poster and admission to the after party — which we’re guessing is in the B&S restaurant space? Details are scant on that part of the night, but the music is going to be tight regardless.
Future Teens released their full length Hard Feelings in 2017; Aaron West’s most recent output was the Bittersweet 7″ in 2016, and with The Wonder Years’ tour cycle in support of this year’s Sister Cities winding down, and this gig popping up, signs are encouraging that Campbell will get to visit the next chapter of his protagonist’s saga in the not-too-distant future.
Tickets for the concert are on sale Friday, November 9th, at 10 a.m.; more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar. Below, revisit Aaron West and the Roaring Twenties’ Key Studio Session from 2016, and check out Future Teens’ LP.
