Ivy Sole | still from video

Philly-made rapper Ivy Sole has released a video for “How High,” off her debut album Overgrown. Directed by Sole in collaboration with Ethan Boye-Do, the video was shot in Venice Beach and shows Sole wandering the shore in the early morning, hand-in-hand with actress Andria Langston. The song captures that stomach-flipping rush of being in the proximity of someone you love.

In a statement, Sole said of the video,

I think a lot of people my age can relate to the feeling of being in the presence of someone who gives you a high of sorts…When thinking about the vision for ‘How High’ it was important for the video to stay true to who and what the song was about. The girl who inspired it will forever be a part of my blueprint on love, how the most still and simple moments can have the biggest impact.”

Sole has a show with Franky Hill at Milkboy on December 7th. Find more info at the WXPN Concert Calendar. Watch the video below.
