After a 10-year hiatus, French/English electro pop outfit Stereolab is reuniting. Along with reissuing of seven of their albums this year, they’ll play their first North American tour in 12 years, including a show at Union Transfer on September 26.
Stereolab will release expanded and remastered editions of 1993’s Transient Random Noise-Bursts With Announcements and 1994’s Mars Audiac Quintet this spring, and will reissue their following five albums later in the year. The first two reissues will be out May 3 via Warp Records.
Stereolab made their World Cafe debut in 2008, shortly before deciding to take a break. Listen back to their conversation with David Dye below.
Tickets for the Union Transfer show go on sale this Friday, February 22 at 10 a.m. Find more information on the XPN Concert Calendar.
