Peter MoDavis’ hollering vocals get the show to an energetic start.

The cool thing about this: The Districts could have picked whoever they wanted to open the night. Not too long ago, it was Dr. Dog who gave them the nice profile boost by inviting them to play one of their Electric Factory gigs. Now that The Districts were in that same position, rather than doing a hook-up-a-friend sort of booking as so many other bands in their position do, they asked Purples – an awesome Philly crew that should be heard by more people – to share the stage, since they’re huge fans of Purples’ previous incarnation The Teeth. Here, bassist Conor Jacobus watches their set with Lawrence, Grote and McNamara.

The crowd really starts filling in by the end of their set, including many fellow Philly musicians. Here we see Ron Gallo, as well as Joe Bissiri of The Lawsuits.

Spaltro heads right over to the merch booth after her set to sell shirts and record to new fans in person. The set was very well received, and a line stretches across the room.
