Who Gets Teddy’s Estate? “Well, this kind of news, while often inevitable, makes us a bit sad — seems that the son and the second wife of late Philly soul giant Teddy Pendergrass are battling over his estate. According to the Associated Press: ‘Teddy Pendergrass II and Joan Pendergrass have produced conflicting wills since the singer died of colon cancer in January. The son claims a will from May 2009 names him executor and sole beneficiary. The widow claims a later document on which she signed her name as the singer’s attorney gives her control.’” (Make Major Moves)

The Philadelphia International Festival of the Arts (PIFA) Is Coming April 2011; Tickets Go On Sale Tomorrow, Oct. 7 “For three weeks, from April 7 through May 1, 2011, the festival will feature an array of one-time, only-in-Philadelphia productions by some of the region’s top talents — many of whom will partner with or present international performers.
