The Fishtown location of La Colombe Coffee continues its Hope and Fury concert-and-discussion series Hop and Fury tomorrow night with an appearance by &More, the Philly collaboration of R&B singer Donn T and rapper Chill Moody. XPN Fest Recap: &More brings wisdom and soulful energy to the stage

&More, the powerhouse duo of Donn T and Chill Moody, took the stage as the sun beat down on day two. As the band got the energy started, R&B singer Donn T slid in with her honeyed vocals singing the intro to their February released debut track “My Own Light.” West Philly emcee Chill Moody made his way to the stage, coming in hot and ready to spit some wisdom, as Donn T put the crowd into a daze. The Key Studio Sessions: &More

It started as a one-off collaboration. Philly singer-songwriter and author Donn T. was working on a new single called “Clear,” a musical companion to her short story “Time to Soar,” and she needed a rapper to provide a counterpoint to her simmering vocal. Enter Chill Moody, veteran West Philadelphia MC who’s been kicking out some serious jams since 2010. Working together on the cut felt effortless and natural for them — not unexpectedly so, as both artists have spent years cultivating their personal brands, building up their fan bases and running their own record labels. Donn T and Chill Moody’s collaborative project &More debuts with “My Own Light”

Alternative R&B singer Donn T and well-known Philadelphia based MC Chill Moody have made it official: the two Philly music scene vets will be joining forces under the name &More. The two artists paired up last year on Donn T’s single “Clear,” a track dealing with the metamorphosis of one’s self.

In January, &MORE made its debut at The Roots Jam Session ahead of the 2018 Grammy Awards, establishing their presence in the industry. This month, they released their first debut single “My Own Light,” which you can listen to below. Continue reading →
