Dead & Company returning to town – listen to interviews with John Mayer and Bob Weir

Dead & Company return to the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey this Sunday, June 25th. Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir will be joined once again by John Mayer. Recently, Bob Weir and John Mayer made appearances on World Cafe. Mayer was interviewed by World Cafe host Talia Schlanger around the release of Mayer’s recent solo album, The Search For Everything. The Cafe’s David Dye did a session with Bob Weir in November, 2016, around the release of Bob’s album, Blue Mountain.

John Mayer brings some Friday vibes to a Friday night gig at Wells Fargo Center

As John Mayer and his full band ensemble reappear on stage, Mayer walks to the microphone with a swagger, taking a few moments to address the crowd before beginning the fourth chapter of the night. He speaks about everyone in the audience feelin’ their “Friday vibes” on that Friday night, April 7th, at the Wells Fargo Center.

Addressing an entire arena bursting at the seems with loving fans, he talks about how he just isn’t nervous like he use to be. It got a lot easier, he says, especially after he quit drinking. However, he’s able to comfort himself with the fact that any person in the audience will give him a ride home if he’s too drunk, and of course a couch to sleep on, he says. After sharing a laugh with the audience on that note and thanking them all, he and his band go into playing “Moving On and Getting Over,” a song off of one of Mayer’s newest EPs, Wave One: The Search For Everything. After selling out his April 7th date at the Wells Fargo Center, John Mayer has announced an extension of his The Search for Everything tour that stops at BB&T Pavilion in Camden on August 18th. Tickets go sale Saturday, March 4th at 10:00 a.m. and will be available via the XPN Concert Calendar.
