Kick off your weekend with a delightful set of breezy indiepop from Adrianne Gold, singer-guitarist of Catnaps. Her main band has been somewhat quiet lately, what with bassist / glockenspiel-ist Carolyn Haynes spending the summer rocking out in Nashville with JEFF the Brotherhood (seriously), so Gold took the downtime to record an LP of solo material under the name Faux Pas. Neighbors was released this morning, and it’s got the raw fuzz-punk edge of the last Catnaps EP, Boys Drool, but spread out over an entire set this time. It also features one especially catchy tune called “Fleetwood Mac” early on. Listen to it below, and grab a free download of it here. Oh, and don’t believe what Bandcamp tells you – Gold is not playing a show in Manchester, England tonight. This Faux Pas is. Keep a ear out for the next Catnaps release this fall.
