Just in time for their Firefly performance, this Friday at 6:45PM, the Arctic Monkeys have released a new music video for “Snap Out of It,” a song off of their latest album AM. The video features an oddly emotional woman, fresh out of the pool for a swim, watching a video of the band hanging out in the studio. Let’s just say she’s moved in many ways watching the band. Watch the “Snap Out Of It” below.
If you haven’t picked up on it, we’re quite taken by Scottish electonic pop three-piece CHVRCHES. Building buzz and stateside traction earlier this year on the strength of the three-song Recover EP, the band just released its full length debut, The Bones of What You Believe, and it more than delivers on the promise. Imagine hard-hitting dance beats and hooky keyboard samples supporting the narrative lyrics and alluring vocals of frontwoman Lauren Mayberry. It’s a sleek and catchy combination of techno energy and catchy songwriting. The band returns to Union Transfer tonight, and the all-ages show begins at 8:30 p.m. Tickets and information can be found at the XPN concert Calendar.
After releasing the 7″ “R U Mine?” last February, the English four-piece Arctic Monkeys have announced their next full-length record, and a tour to go with it. The album is called AM, and is set to be released this coming September via Domino; the band has already released the LP’s lead single “Do I Wanna Know?” (watch the video below) and today announced a tour that brings them to The Mann Center for the Performing Arts on September 18th. Tickets are on sale this Saturday, June 29th, via The Mann’s website. Check out the video and see the AM track list after the jump.
