It’s Friday (again) and that means it’s time (again) for the Indie Rock Hit Parade on XPN (again)! On tonight’s full two-hour show (starting shortly after Making Time RADio with Dave P), we’ll get to so many new tracks that you won’t know what to do with yourself. Anchoring this week’s IRHP is a spotlight on Give A Glimpse Of What Yer Not, the newest album from Dinosaur Jr. The Amherst trio’s original lineup famously reformed a decade ago, and this new album is the fourth to come from this fruitful reunion. Also in the mix are new tracks from Memphis lo-fi punks Nots, Florida’s premier Ecuadorian-American electro wizard Helado Negro, Philly’s own noisemakers Purling Hiss and more! Preview out those new tunes below….

Bat for Lashes performs a breathtaking Free at Noon set (photos, audio, setlist)

Natasha Khan played a stripped-down Bat for Lashes set for today’s Free at Noon double-header, accompanied by a keyboardist and some ethereal sound loops and textures piped in from a laptop. She drew mostly from last year’s The Haunted Man, dipping back to Two Suns for “Travelling Woman.” See photos of Bat For Lashes’ performance in the gallery above, read the setlist below, and listen to the performance in its entirety here (via the WXPN media player).
