The band moves within elements of sound, all staying roughly onthe dreamy side, but also mixing indie pop with chillwave. Their album In Heaven was released in September of 2011. Rapper Ghostface Killah brings the beats to The Blockley tonight. Ghostface Killah’s career is expansive, having a number of solo albums, as well as being apart of the legendary rap group Wu-Tang Clan. The rapper celebrates his newest solo album Twelve Reasons To Die; tickets and information for the 21+ show with Chill Moody, Voss and Grand Lux can be found here. Beausoleil brings their medley of sounds to the stages of World Cafe Live tonight. Their Facebook page says that the group “take the rich Cajun traditions of Louisiana and artfully blend elements of zydeco, New Orleans jazz, Tex-Mex, country, blues, and more into a satisfying musical recipe.” They released their new album this year entitled From Bamako to Carencro. Singer/songwriter Boz Scaggs comes to Keswick Theatre tonight. Scaggs has played with the Steve Miller Band and has released a number of albums, including his newest, Memphis, which came out in March on 429 Records. You can read more about Boz here. Tickets go on sale Tuesday, February 18th at 10am. Scaggs releases his new album, MEMPHIS on March 5th. His first studio album in five years, MEMPHIS was produced by Steve Jordan and includes covers songs like “Rainy Night in Georgia,” “Mixed Up Shook Up Girl,” and several new original songs. The album was recorded at the legendary Royal Studios in Memphis, where Willie Mitchell produced many of Al Green’s albums. Some of the studio musicians on the album inclued Willie Weeks (bass), Spooner Oldham (keyboards) Ray Parker, Jr.(guitar) and Jordan on drums. While the show will likely feature songs from his new album, we’re hoping Scaggs dips into one of the one of the greatest albums ever made before the night is over.
