Kendrick Lamar is an emerging rapper from Los Angeles who’s been praised for balancing hard-hitting contemporary hiphop sounds with a message behind the music. His album good kid, m.A.A.d city is being released on Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Records in October, and he plays The TLA on South Street tonight. Camp Jam In The Pines starts tonight

Southern Culture on The Skids

Tonight begins the Camp Jam In The Pines at the Old Cedar Campground in Monroeville, New Jersey. Performer highlights include Southern Culture On The Skids (who performs Friday evening at 7:30 p.m.) and the New Riders Of The Purple Sage (Saturday at 8:10 p.m.).
