Tonight at the TLA, singer-songwriter/guitarist Chuck Ragan will celebrate his new record Til Midnight. Despite the hard edge and grit of his earlier work – both solo and with Hot Water Music – there’s no shortage of love songs or intimacy on his latest effort. Watch “Something May Catch Fire” (which definitely has a Springsteen vibe) below and get tickets here.
XPN welcomes Boy to World Cafe Live tonight. Celebrating their first US tour, the Swiss-German duo will be bringing their unbelievably happy medley of indie music to the quaint stages of World Cafe. The duo envelopes themselves within upbeat rhythms and sounds in the same vain as iconic indie groups such as Phoenix and Feist, with a little bit of Vampire Weekend thrown into the mix. Coupling with their debut tour in the US, the band will also be treating fans with tracks off their debut album Mutual Friends, which was released in 2011. Tickets and information about their show with Ari Hest can be found here. Below is a video for their hit track “Little Numbers” off of Mutual Friends.
