Clark_Park_Poster.1 The Clark Park Music & Arts Festival is happening on Saturday, September 21st, starting at Noon. The festival will feature over 40 vendors and 9 bands to celebrate the community supported Clark Park Fall Equinox Festival. Some of the bands performing include The Fleeting Ends, The Districts, Jackie Paper, The Deadeyes, Seismic Thrust, Black Stars, THATAFS, Thee, Idea Men and Southwark. Clark Park is located 43rd and Chester Avenue in West Philadelphia and is all free and all fun. Below, sample some tunes from a few of the bands that will be performing.


Saturday’s Concert Picks: WXPN Welcomes Shawn Colvin to World Cafe Live and the Clark Park Music & Arts Festival

The Clark Park Music & Arts Festival has rocked the neighborhood at 43rd and Chester Ave for many years. The festival takes place every year right around the Summer Solstice and features live music, vendors, food trucks, children’s activities, crafts, and more. This festival is a chance to celebrate the artistic community that exists in Philadelphia; it is an opportunity for local non profit organizations to come together to discuss various issues in the surrounding neighborhoods. All of the musical acts are brought to you by Cloud Events-Philly , some which include Break it Up, The Really Cooks, City Wide Specials, Power Animal, and more. The event goes from noon to sunset.


Over at World Cafe Live, WXPN welcomes the grammy award winning, international singer/songwriter, Shawn Colvin. The Royal You opens the show downstairs live at 7:30 PM. You can purchase tickets to the all ages show here.
