Eric Slick, the drummer for hometown heroes Dr. Dog, can do more than just drum. He’s just recently recorded an acoustic guitar instrumental track, inspired by the primitive guitar playing of the legendary John Fahey, and posted it to his bandcamp (listen below). He’s also made it available for purchase. The song, called “Creature Comfort”, displays Slick’s unique range and ability as a guitarist. Slightly experimental in nature, the track follow no set format, and instead functions as a sort of gritty, acoustic, solo jam. Be sure to catch Dr. Dog on July 27th, when they’ll be playing the Susquehanna Bank Center as part of this year’s Xponential Music Festival. Find tickets and information here.
