Dance along to CSS’s “Hangover” video (playing Union Transfer on 7/2)

Screen-Shot-2013-05-16-at-3.39.50-PMBrazilian electronic rock outfit CSS dropped their new album Planta last week, and you can watch the music video for the first single, “Hangover,” below. The new-rave rockers (whose full name Cansei de Ser Sexy apparently means “I Got Tired of Being Sexy”) are embarking on a tour that will bring them to Union Transfer on July 2nd. “Hangover,” despite its broken heart motif, is a light, upbeat tune with a traditional Latin horn section backed by electronic beats. The video on the other hand is mainly an unlikely group of slightly dreary people dancing in sync to the very non-dreary track. Silly and weird – check it out below.

Listen to the CSS remix of Givers’ “Up Up Up” (CSS performs at Union Transfer on Oct. 21st)

The Key favorites Givers get a fun, electro-pop treatment from Brazilian group CSS in this remix of their summer breakout single “Up Up Up.” The remix takes the already dynamic song to an impossibly danceable level. CSS, or Cansei de Ser Sexy, literally translates to mean “got tired of being sexy,” but there’s definitely nothing sleepy about this track (via Stereogum).

If you want to get down with CSS (they’re a crazy live act, so yes, you do), they’ll be playing Union Transfer on October 21st. Tickets are $15 and are available here.
