Electronic artist Daedelus will be at Underground Arts tonight.  The Los Angeles producer’s early childhood dream of becoming an inventor is evident throughout his discography, as he patches, constructs and fuses seemingly disparate samples together to form his unique narrative arc.  His most recent full-length, Bespoke, was released in 2011 through Ninjatune Records and traces his infatuation with Victorian-era fashion.  Tickets and information for tonight’s 21+ show with Ryan Hemsworth, Salva and Samo Sound Boy can be found here.  Stream “Suit Yourself” from the LP below.

Bucks County jam band Hiding from Andy play World Cafe Live upstairs tonight.  The band is celebrating the release of You Can Go Home Tomorrow, their third studio album and a record dedicated to their fans, friends and family.  Drawing influences from Phish and Umphrey’s McGee, the local quartet create upbeat and joyful groove music with funky lyrics.  Tickets and information for the all-ages show with Wesley Cook can be found here.  Stream You Can Go Home Tomorrow below and grab a free download from Hiding from Andy’s Bandcamp here.

The evening features headliner Daedelus with support from Salva, Samo Sound Boy and Ryan Hemsworth.

DJ and producer Hemsworth is from Halifax, Nova Scotia, and has received a lot of music blog love and positive critical attention lately not only for his own work, but for his remixes of songs by Grimes, Frank Ocean and Drake. What’s notable about his work is his use of genres like hip-hop and R&B to inform the moodiness and emotion of the music he creates. His recent album, Last Words, released on WeDidIt, features “Colour & Movement” that you can watch below. Hemsworth is definitely worth keeping an eye (and ear) on. WIth each new release and remix, he’s adding to the conversation of electronic music in leaps and bounds. Sample some of his work below.

Salva, head of the beat powerhouse record label Frite Nite (sponsoring acts like Shlohmo and Ana Sia), took off this year after his remix of Kanye West’s “Mercy” exploded on dancefloors. His 2011 debut Complex Housing (released on Friends of Friends) featured nightclub stunners like “Keys Open Doors” and “Baroque.” He upped his own slick production cred by rocking live crowds at 2012′s Coachella, Mutek Montreal and Lollapalooza festivals.
