After an off week (to make time for that sweet, sweet XPNFest action), the Indie Rock Hit Parade is BACK! Listen at 11pm ET tonight, right after Land Of The Lost with Robert Drake, for a full two-hour return that’s bursting at the seams with brand new music. In the mix this for this week’s show are new tracks from Australia’s premier psych-dance troupe Jagwar Ma, teenage guitar poppers The Lemon Twigs, master of drama Bat For Lashes and much more. Just Announced: Descendents will headline Electric Factory this October

The world was a different place the last time we heard new music from Descendents. It was 2004, the band had dropped its sixth album, Cool to Be You, and after touring in support, the band went into an almost decade-long hibernation. The band played scattered reunion shows following the 2008 passing of founding member Frank Navetta, but got back together in force to make their seventh studio album Hypercaffium Spazzinate, coming out July 29th on Epitaph Records. In support of it, Descendents will be playing at the Electric Factory on Thursday, October 13th.
